We moved our family off grid this summer to build our dream life and cabin in the woods. We we're making great progress when a simple accident turned into a tragic event. Falling 13ft from the exterior wall while preparing to build our loft walls and roof, I landed on my left foot shattering my heel and ankle to smithereens. After multiple surgeries in hospital, a severe infection grew and in the end the decision was made to amputate below the knee.
This has rendered my family and I basically homeless for the winter. We have 3 dogs a 14yr old son and my wife and I. We have many expenses coming down the pipe and need help to fund the rest of our cabin build, all medical expenses including medication as well as a prosthetic, new clothes and school expenses for our son, as well as every day things like rent, transportation and food. Anything you can spare at this most uncertain time is greatly appreciated.
