Donation protected
On or around May 15th, 2021, my only son was violently killed in his own home. Tryston Steven-Arthur Edwards (Adams) was a self sufficient adult at the young age of 19. He had already obtained his own apartment, his own car, and constantly worked double shifts at his job to support himself.
Everyone who knows my son knows how amazing he was. He was respectful, intelligent, motivated, and responsible.
The Fort Worth TX police department did NOT investigate his death properly and wrote him off as a suicide. When we got the call from the Medical examiner, they told us he was shot in the face and his gun cleaning kit was out (implying that he shot himself while cleaning his firearm).
Then the story changed to him being shot in the right temple. I cannot understand how such a "mistake" could be made as to where his gunshot wound was. THEY WON'T EVEN DO A GUNSHOT RESIDUE TEST ON HIS HANDS!!!
We know from someone who responded to the scene that his body was found in his bed, his hands were above his head in a defensive position, and his personal firearm was under his blankets.
When we arrived at his apartment to view the scene:
1. His gun cleaning kit was completely unopened and in the same condition as the day he bought it,
2. Blood soaked sheets and pillows were in the bathtub,
3. Blood trails led from the bedroom to the bathroom, and
4. There was blood on his computer mouse with what looks like an obvious fingerprint.
The police did not search his phone to see who he was contacting or who he was with. He had 3 laptops and they did not search any of them.
The apartment complex will not give us access to the surveillance footage, and we have STILL have not been permitted to see his body after nearly a week!
At this point, we have a witness who received a call from Tryston's ex-girlfriend bragging that they know who murdered my son, and slandering him in ways I can't even bring myself to repeat. We have over an hour of recorded statements from this person. After the Medical Examiner's website updated his report to indicate suicide, the ex-girlfriend suddenly changed her story, saying he committed suicide and adding more slander.
Detective McNally, with the Fort Worth Police department has already made up her mind and classified his death as a suicide meaning we may not be able to obtain the funds from his life insurance to even lay him to rest. Detective McNally has also stopped answering our phone calls.
PLEASE HELP US RAISE MONEY FOR A PRIVATE INVESTIGATOR AND PRIVATE AUTOPSY! WE HAVE TO KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR CHILD!!
I KNOW WE ARE ASKING FOR A LOT, BUT ALL FORENSIC TESTING WILL HAVE TO BE PAID OUT-OF POCKET AND IS VERY EXPENSIVE!! ANY AMOUNT WILL HELP!
