Hi, my name is Georgia, and I’m fundraising for my beautiful dog, Buddy.

I first met Buddy while walking him daily for his owner, Donna — my dear friend and long-time client. Over time, Buddy and I formed the most special bond. He became more than just a dog I walked — he truly became family.

In April of this year, Donna sadly and unexpectedly passed away. It was a heartbreaking time, and when it came to what would happen to Buddy, I knew I couldn’t let him be rehomed to strangers. I made the decision to adopt him and give him the loving, stable home I knew Donna would have wanted for him.

Recently, however, Buddy has become quite unwell. He’s been vomiting, lethargic, off his food, and generally just not himself at all. We’ve been in and out of the vet trying to figure out what’s going on. It’s been an emotional and stressful few weeks, and despite the vet’s best efforts, we still don’t have clear answers.

Unfortunately, the cost of ongoing tests, treatments, and vet visits is mounting, and I’ve reached a point where I simply can’t afford the further investigations needed to get to the bottom of Buddy’s illness. It breaks my heart to feel like I can’t give him the care he needs — especially after everything he’s already been through.

Buddy means the absolute world to me. He’s not just my dog; he’s a link to a friend I lost and a companion who has brought so much love into my life. I promised Donna I’d look after him, and I’m doing everything I can to keep that promise.
