Please Help Us Find a Cure Before It’s Too Late

Despite continuous bleeding, no source could be identified. The hospital has done everything within its means, but they've reached their limits. The only thing keeping Kaka alive right now is blood transfusions, which may only extend her life for a few more days. The doctors suggested transferring her to a specialist unit, but unfortunately, every hospital is full, and we’ve been told that there is no available bed. I fear that each day we wait is another day closer to losing her.

Though we still don’t have answers, the good news is that Kaka’s blood levels have stopped dropping, and we’re holding onto that hope. We’re desperate for the doctors to pinpoint the cause and begin effective treatment, but time is running out.

So far, we’ve already spent almost 20,000 AUD on various tests and treatments, all of which have failed to provide a clear diagnosis. The doctors have been upfront with us about the substantial costs involved and how many people end up giving up because of the financial strain. Before this, I couldn’t understand why some pet owners might abandon their pets due to medical bills, but now I understand the helplessness that comes with financial limitations. It’s heartbreaking to face a situation where love and care aren’t enough without the necessary resources.
