Please help us evacuate from Gaza and rebuild our lives

My name is Nehad Almadhoun, I am originally from Gaza but currently living in Germany. I have a family that lives in Gaza and is currently going through immense suffering. After hesitating and thinking for a long time, I decided to start this fundraising campaign because it is the only way for my family to leave Gaza and start a life that will allow them to heal from the trauma they have been through. I am doing this fundraising for my mother (Fairouz), my 5 brothers (Osama, Amjad Kamal, Ra'afat and Mohammed), and 2 step sisters (Aya Mosleh and Ayah Battah), my niece (Nora) and my nephew (Adam).

I am writing to ask for your urgent help to evacuate my family from Gaza and help them rebuild their lives. Like so many families in Gaza, they have experienced unimaginable fear, despair and hardship due to the current devastating situation. After living an honest life in our home, the relentless bombing and starvation forced them to flee from north to south, finding temporary refuge only to have their rented home in Khan Younis bombed five days later. Tragically, my father was killed in the attack and the rest of my family, including two babies - a 2-year old girl and a 1-month old boy born during the war - were injured. They were then forced to flee to Rafah and live in a tent where they suffered from diseases due to the lack of clean water and healthy living conditions. After the Israeli army attacked Rafah, they found themselves in the same terrible situation again when they had to flee from the relentless bombardment to a new area that was declared "safe" in the middle of the Gaza Strip. Now they are living in a tent that lacks the basic necessities of life.

I am raising funds to evacuate them from Gaza and help them rebuild their lives. To cross the Rafah border crossing, we will need to pay between $5000 and $8000 per person to get their names on the list to leave Gaza. Any extra money left over will be used to help them get settled in a house and pay for their expenses in the meantime. The crossing money will be paid by me directly to the Rafah Crossing Coordinator. Once they are out and settled, whatever is left of the funds will be transferred to them.
