I know I’m asking for a lot. I had a dream that told me to ask for this amount so that’s what I’m doing.
In March of 2020 Social Security determined that I’m completely physically disabled due to severe chronic pain, unable to even hold a part time job.
In December of 2022 I made the decision to give up my disability and go back to work to get out of an abusive relationship and create a better life for my children. I started doing Door Dash, Uber and Lyft and did really well for a couple years. I can’t do most jobs. The pain is too severe. But I got ripped off on 3 separate cars in under 3 years. In December 2024, after the 3rd time I’d been to the mechanic in the 5 weeks I’d owned my new car, my mechanic told me if I kept doing these apps, I’d have no car at all in a couple weeks. I bought a computer and applied to 100s of work from home jobs. I finally got a job in January 2024 but it was too little, too late. In April 2025 my kids and I had no choice but to move in with my abusive, narcissistic mother. It has been an absolute nightmare. No one deserves to live this way. The verbal and emotional abuse of me and my kids started immediately. We’re constantly being screamed at, called names and told how worthless we are. Her house is absolutely saturated in cat pee. Under all the beds were piles of old cat poop. (There’s still poop under her bed she won’t clean up.) it has not been properly cleaned in the 15 years she’s lived here. I spent months and over $1,000 cleaning and painting this house. I feel like I’ve wasted my time. This house is not fixable. It needs to be demolished. We stink all the time. I use all kinds of smelly stuff on our laundry. My daughter saturates herself in body spray every day before school but we still stink. The stress of the constant abuse from my mother has quadrupled my pain levels. I can barely function most days. But I still get up every day and go to work.
Our cats have had respiratory problems since we moved in. I’ve had to treat them for fleas and worms. If it’s affecting them, it’s affecting us too. No one deserves to live like this.
My mental and physical health is deteriorating by the day. My daughter’s mental health and physical health is declining.
My dad lives 45 minutes away. He was just diagnosed with Parkinson’s and early dementia. I don’t see him nearly as much as I’d like because I don’t have a car capable of getting down there and my mother won’t let him in her house. (Not that he’d want to be because it smells so bad of cat pee.)
I am begging for some help to escape this nightmare. This money would go towards getting me a car I can depend on and buying a mobile home for my kids and I. Not only would we be moving further from her school but with mine and my daughter’s medical problems, we need a car to get to appointments.
