Please help us defeat Alex's cancer for good

On December 11th 2017, at the age of 22, Alex was diagnosed with a rare cancer called BPDCN that is affected by the blood and bone marrow of the body. He was at a stage 4 cancer and was very close to losing his life. After being treated at City of Hope hospital with a clinical trial following a stem cell transplant, he was put into remission. During the following 3 years, he was finally able to fully recover and get his strength back as well as get into sports playing Golf at a competitive level. After noticing a new mark on his body like before, Alex received a skin biopsy which came back positive for cancer. As of December 1st 2021, It is with a heavy heart, but Alex's Blastic Plasmacytoid Dendritic Cell Neoplasm (BPDCN) has returned. When he went through chemo, it was devastating to see him go through it all, then to successfully go into remission, to see him improve and now... As of right now, we're doing what we can to build him up and prepare him for his treatments and after speaking with his doctor at the City of Hope , our goal will be getting him back there after the holidays.

During his initial treatment, he was given a clinical treatment known as SL-401 alongside chemotherapy and finally a stem cell transplant alongside total body radiation. Research into the treatment for BPDCN has improved and currently, the plan is to re-administer SL-401 alongside an additional clinical trial treatment. We will update you with more information on treatment as soon as we can.

During this time, Alex will need to travel across country to California and may have to stay out there while being treated. He will need funds to support his travel and stay and help cover any additional treatment costs and medical bills. We greatly appreciate your support and prayers.
