Hi, my name is Steve & I am starting a fundraising campaign to help my daughter save her businesses after being devastated by the effects of COVID 19. I am watching her work tirelessly to keep her doors open but soon her dream may be taken away.
Organic Juice Bar Wexford opened its doors at the very end of 2018. Throughout 2019 the local community embraced having a USDA certified
organic fast casual restaurant to enjoy!
Her brand name was growing, foot traffic was increasing. All was looking very promising when 2020 began. At the same time, she had begun construction on her 2nd location & negotiations for her 3rd. Both which opened in 2020. She was so excited!!
Her 2nd location in the South Hills opened 2 weeks before the country was shut down for COVID-19. After dealing with months of construction delays her 3rd location in Cranberry didn't open until November 2020.
As like so many small business owners the effects of COVID-19 have been devastating.
What I find to be the worst of it is that since her 2 newest stores were not opened BEFORE COVID she became ineligible for ANY government funding through the EIDL or PPP. The RRF (Restaurant Revitalization Fund) was the only one possible saving grace & she was one of millions that did not receive funds. She received some money for the Wexford location that helped for a few months in 2020 but since then has been sustaining her stores with the rest of her life's savings, famliy help and high interest rate MCAs (Mechant Cash Advances) because there are NO other options for owners like her who opened businesses during the global pandemic. MCAs become debilitating & are a drain on her revenue stream.
She has 30 amazing, dedicated employees that she is making sure stay employed. She serves an delicious, wholesome organic product that continues to help build peoples immune systems during COVID.
Her family is asking for donations so she can continue her dream of serving her communities clean, certified, organic food. We are praying for help so that she can continue to make rent, pay her suppliers & most importantly, keep the families that work for her gainfully employed.
Our family to yours would be eternally grateful.
