Please help us bury our precious mom Trudy Leach

Sadly our precious mother Trudy just passed away. She was the wife of a decorated Army Air-corp WWII veteran and the mother of five children. In 1973, our father James Leach passed away of cancer leaving our mother with five children to raise on her own. She was a very kind-hearted lady. Everyone in the neighborhood loved our mother and they would stop by and chat with her. She told friends and neighbors stories of her younger years in Germany and she would sing songs from decades past and some would applaud her on her singing. She also loved cats and dogs and would spend her last dime to take care of them.
In the last four or more years, we became the "parents" for our mom. We had to take care of our mother as her age was taking its toll. At the time of her last medical emergency, our mother was diagnosed with Dementia. She eventually passed away from a heart attack. She was the pillar of what remained of our family and raised us in our younger years.
Unfortunately after her passing we discovered her life insurance had not been kept current because of her condition. So there is absolutely no money to bury our mother and she cannot stay where she is now. WE ARE IN DIRE NEED TO GET FUNDS and lay her to rest in the same cemetery with our father. That is why we have started this GoFundMe campaign. The funds will go to the Funeral home / cemetery. Thank you and God Bless.
We contacted the VA and apparently they will only bury her in a national cemetery with our father(Alta Mesa Memorial Park reconfirmed this). Our father is buried at Alta Mesa, a private Cemetery in Palo Alto California. So there is not much the veterans administration can do for us. I went to Alta Mesa cemetery to ask them the facts and they also said the same thing. To get her buried with our father, we would have to have our father disinterred and brought to a national cemetery and then our mom could be buried with him. And that's just a little too much to deal with right now.
