*** Updated description of Lola, Billy’s new friend*** (I spotted Lola at 3:00 AM, sleeping between two garbage bins on a dark and dirty road. I parked my car, walked towards her, and was greeted by a wagging tail and an abundance of affection. She is such a joyful dog.
After speaking to some locals that were working nearby, we concluded that she had likely been “throw away” and disposed of like a piece of trash, 5 days prior. She had also been seen roaming around the adjacent highway.
She kept following me back to my car. It was in this exact moment that I decided I’d take her to the boarding home early the next morning. A dog like Lola would never make it past a few weeks on the streets.
I anxiously woke up early next morning and started looking for her, but couldn’t find her. I felt defeated. An hour later, I randomly and luckily saw a glimpse of her body sleeping under a truck. I called for her, and she walked towards me. She was still quite sleepy as I had woken her up from her precious nap.
I named her Lolita (Nickname: Lola), as a tribute to Lolita, the first stray dog I had met back in the early 90’s who found shelter/lived under my building. She taught me so much.
Lola is now fully vaccinated, microchipped, and she joined Billy at their new boarding home. They’re loving roommates who love playing together and get along incredibly well.
It would be very sad to leave her here and not be able to fly her back to Canada with Billy. If I had the power, I’d fly every single stray dog outside of Lebanon.
I’m hoping that we can raise enough funds to cover Lola’s expenses and flight back to Montreal. A beautiful life awaits her there.
Lola’s journey is already a reminder of how resilient and forgiving animals can be. With your help, her story doesn’t have to end on the streets and shelters of Lebanon.. It can continue in Montreal, where love and joy await her.
My commitment to transparency and the detailed use of funds remains in place. Any additional funds that remain will be used to help other animals in need, as well as cover the spaying of cats and dogs.
Thank you so much ❤️

Billy was found all alone, seeking shelter in an outdoor parking lot in Lebanon. I fed him, left him some water, and contacted the neighbours to make sure nobody hurts him. Despite everything he’s been through, Billy is incredibly sweet. He loves cuddles, loves to play, and just wants affection.
The sad reality is that there is no real life for dogs like Billy in Lebanon.
Most people here are often only interested in “purebred” dogs, while countless strays are left behind to suffer in silence on the streets or at overcrowded shelters. Every day is a struggle for survival, facing speeding cars, hunger, cruelty, and disease. Like every animal, Billy deserves a chance at life.
I’m trying to raise funds to provide him with care and bring him to Canada, where he will finally have the chance to live a safe and happy life where he can run freely, be part of a family, and never have to wonder where his next meal will come from.
Every contribution no matter how small, brings us one step closer to getting Billy into a loving home. Please help us give this gentle boy the second chance he’s been waiting for.
I hope you can play a part in changing Billy’s story ❤️
(I promise to be fully transparent about every single expense. If ever there is a single dollar that is left over, I’ll make sure that it goes towards the neutering/feeding of stray animals in Lebanon ❤️)
