Help support Alana’s recovery post brain surgery

Hello everyone, my name is Amanda Avelar, first and foremost thank you for taking the time to read this.

I’m here in regards to a dear friend of mine, Alana Gitthens. Alana is one of the most selfless and hardworking people I know, and is also a mother to two beautiful little girls.

On April 8th, Alana was seen at the hospital for sporadic seizure.

After medical assessment, it was discovered that Alana is carrying a tumor in the pituitary gland of her brain. The tumor is now 2cm long and will require surgical removal that will place her in the ICU for the days following her procedure, then onto further hospital care treatment for a few more days following. Alana will then require extensive support at home as post op will delay her from returning to her normal duties such as working, household chores, errands, driving, basic movements etc. for quite some time. Between all the MRIs, CT scans, X-rays and so on, we are hoping to support Alana during this time in any way we can so she may be fully present in her recovery without the stress of the well being of her daughters and/or household. Any donations will go towards medical expenses, upholding current household + personal bills of Alana’s during her recovery, as well as expenses pertaining to her daughter’s and their care.

Alana’s surgery is scheduled to take place May 6th at 2:00pm and we would greatly appreciate any shares, donations or prayers over her and her family during this time. God bless you all & thank you greatly.
