Please help tyler and family
Our son Tyler was born with a genetic condition called neurofibromatosis (NF1). It is a condition that causes tumours to grow on nerves.
Tyler has recently been diagnosed with another tumour that is growing on his optic nerve and it is greatly impacting his eyesight. Unfortunately we have had to start chemotherapy treatments in attempt to save his vision.
We need to travel to the Royal Children’s Hospital every 2-4 weeks for treatments and appointments for the foreseeable future.
We are kindly asking for some help to cover the additional costs sustained due to this as we have been trying to cover the costs ourselves but are falling behind.
I am not able to work as I am caring for Tyler and Tyler’s father is not able to work as much as he usually would to support our family as he is looking after 2 of our other children while Tyler and I travel.
The decision to make this GoFundMe was not easy, but we would really appreciate your help on getting on top of our expenses so we can support Tyler in the best way possible.
Your contribution will help us:
- Get accomodation as needed when not covered by Ronald McDonald.
- Feed our children, especially extra food costs during travel.
- Additional medical costs (any medication prescriptions, new glasses).
- Monthly bills that we are falling behind on (rent, electricity, gas, phones).
- Pay for our commute (mostly car fuel costs and maintenance of our car but occasionally flights).
If you are unable to donate to help us, we would really appreciate if you shared instead.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for supporting our family and most importantly Tyler through this.
