Hi, I'm Sophia, me and my partner Alisabeth are both ambulatory wheelchair users who cannot find work. Our rent is higher than the funds we receive monthly and my savings (from before I entered a wheelchair), which we have been living off of are effectively gone. We are finding ourselves unable to apply for any programs for additional assistance due to the current state of the government and have little to no option at this point. I am making this gofundme as a desperate cry, for we are likely to be homeless before long, since neither of us have any family or anyone else able to take us in in the event that we cannot pay our rent. I wish that this wasn't where we currently were, but right now I struggle to see any option other than just to ask, moreso beg, please. Anything you can give would help, it does not need to be a lot, every bit adds up. All the money we'd receive from this would go towards just trying to pay rent another month and keep living another day. So, if you are able to spare anything, thank you.
