Please help me save Tux!

Hello thanks for taking the time to look at my page. My name is Cara and I am trying to save my cat Tux. He needs an urgent and expensive surgery to fix the broken bone, infection in his leg, and remove the BB someone shot into him.

Tux was attacked by an animal and was then missing for 3 days. I searched for him everyday and put up fliers to find him because I knew something was wrong.

I found him finally and brought him home but he wouldn’t put pressure on his left hind leg and it was swollen twice the size it should be and when he hopped on his 3 good legs his paw would just dangle and swing from side to side.

I took him to the vet ER and then to his vet the next day. None of it has been good news… his infection is really really bad but because it is on the same leg as the one that is broken it can’t be aired out to heal right because it has to be in a splint for the broken bone.

On top of all off this we found out that someone SHOT him with a BB gun! The BB is still stuck inside him and you can see it in the x-Ray.

We have had tux since he was a tiny little kitten and love him to the moon and back. He means everything to my son and it breaks my heart that I can’t fix him. My son (who is almost 13) came to me with his wallet and pulled out every dime he had and offered it to me to help pay for treatment, he even offered to use his future allowances to pay for the vet visits. I started crying instantly.

We have already paid almost $3000 for his care but are maxed out now… The surgery to repair his leg and after care are going to be more than double of that.

So now, here I am, coming to all of you and asking if you can help us save him because I can’t do it on my own. Please help us, I will be eternally grateful for anything you can do.

We don’t have many options and time is running out for Tux. Please help if you can, thank you.
