Please help track work rider Allanah Logie
Donation protected
Alannah Logie, a local track rider to Kilmore & Seymour training centres, last week had a freak accident where a horse she was riding reared & flipped over on top of her causing horrendous facial injuries, including multiple fractures.
She has already undergone a surgery on her eye and cheek but is still to undergo at least another surgery on her jaw.
Riders like Alannah are a life blood to many smaller trainers in the area, she rides for multiple small trainers who otherwise would not be able to get their horses worked & possibly not be able to train at all.
Alannah is a horse lover like few others, an avid rehomer of both Standardbreds and thoroughbreds, she recently took on an older thoroughbred gelding who was in a dire state & nursed him back to complete health, all done out of her own pocket.
Alannah’s only source of income comes from track riding, due to the seriousness of her injuries it is unknown how long she’ll be unable to ride work for & with many mouths to feed with her ponies and horses for rehoming, it would be great if the industry could provide a small amount of resources to help her through this tough time so she can get back to giving to the industry as all our track riders do at such a huge risk to themselves.
