We never imagined we would be in this position, but today we are desperately trying to raise £1,600 for emergency surgery for our beautiful boy, Albie.

A couple weeks ago, Albie swallowed something we weren’t sure about. We contacted PDSA immediately and were advised to simply monitor him over the next couple of days as long as he was eating, drinking, and not showing signs of pain.

Sadly, that advice was wrong.

Albie now urgently needs surgery to remove the blockage before it becomes life-threatening. We are absolutely heartbroken and trying to do everything we can to save him.

Anyone who knows Albie knows he is such a happy, loving,dog with so much life ahead of him. Putting him to sleep is not something we can even begin to consider when he is otherwise a healthy boy who deserves the chance to recover and come home to us.

To make things even harder, I am currently on maternity leave and only receiving maternity allowance, so financially we are already struggling to get by. Finding this amount of money so suddenly is something we simply cannot do alone.

We hate having to ask for help, but right now we are completely out of options and racing against time to get Albie the treatment he needs.
