Please Help Tori Shumway Through Medical Challenges
Donation protected
Hi friends,
I'm reaching out to you on behalf of my dear friend Tori Shumway, who is currently facing significant medical challenges. She was diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension early last year and has been working with a great medical team at OSU. In April of this year, she contracted pneumonia, which was detrimental due to her existing condition. She spent nearly two weeks in the ICU, which required a care flight transfer to establish better care. After spending the next few months on oxygen, relief seemed to finally be achieved, and things were looking on the bright side.
Unfortunately, she was just diagnosed with Endocervical Adenocarcinoma, which is a type of cancer. While still recovering from all the time taken off work and traveling back and forth to OSU to see her pulmonary specialists, this new diagnosis is going to require much more (unpaid) time off work for both Tori and Kevin.
As they navigate doctor visits, treatments, and the necessary travel expenses for medical care, they are also dealing with the stress of unpaid time off, which has placed a heavy financial burden on their family.
This fundraiser aims to help cover their essential expenses, including travel costs, meals, unpaid time off work, and other necessities during this difficult time.
Your support can make a real difference in their lives, allowing them to focus on Tori’s health and recovery without the added worry of financial strain. Any contribution, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
With gratitude,
Mandi Mitchell
