On behalf of my brother, Tom Cadena, and his wife Kelly, we are asking for your help.

The week before Thanksgiving, Thomas & Kelly, began feeling sick and were diagnosed and treated for what was thought to be type A flu. The next day the doctor decided to test them for Covid; Tom and Kelly both tested positive. The doctor started them on treatment immediately. After a week of treatment, Tom began to show improvement and by the end of Thanksgiving week, he was much better.

Unfortunately, the treatment didn't work for Kelly because of her asthma. Three weeks ago, Kelly was taken to the hospital by ambulance. As of Tuesday, December 16th, Kelly had not improved and so the decision was made to sedate her and place her on a ventilator. Although Kelly has not gotten better yet, she also is not getting any worse which hopefully means she may be stabilizing. We can only hope and pray for healing and ask that everyone do the same for Kelly.

Tom & Kelly have been married for 30 years and are each other's best friends and biggest supporters. I am sure you can imagine what it’s like to be told that your best friend, supporter, and spouse may not live. The idea of losing the person you love is unthinkable.

What makes the situation worse is that Tom was laid off from his job, and Kelly was in the process of starting a new job before she became sick. With Kelly in the hospital and unable to work, and Tom without a job, the bills are piling up, and they have no health insurance. We are asking for donations to help Tom and Kelly until they get back on their feet.
