Please help my kitten Toji.. he is not doing so well.. I really hate to ask for help but I am begging right now. Toji is currently hospitalized for a severe infection (unknown where, they are still figuring it out) but his WBC is through the roof…

I noticed that he lost his energy levels a few days ago and I thought it was because we got him a 2 month old brother last week and they would play a lot so I didn’t worry much when he would sleep a lot too.. I thought he was just tired from playing too much. Then he barely ate his favorite wet food last night which did worried me but then I’ve also been feeding him more throughout the day because the vet last Sunday said he was underweight. Today, he would not eat at all and even threw up once so I took him to the hospital.

His current estimates for hospitalization are $1673 for diagnostics and about $5298 for admission and treatment.. that’s almost $7k total for the lower estimate.. I got Toji full coverage insurance 2 weeks ago.. and unfortunately, there is a waiting period of 14 days and the coverage for illness doesn’t start until 5/28/25(tomorrow) - that means his hospitalization will not be covered… and I am not sure how long he will have to stay in the hospital. I thought I was doing well because I got Toji insurance at 2 months as a kitten but even that is not enough… I was a day late. I thought I learned from my older cat to get them insurance right away but I still failed..

We are hoping Toji will get to come home tomorrow but not until he is surely ready. I am ridden with guilt for not being able to protect him better and not getting his insurance quick enough..I am pleading for help if you are able.. please help me and my baby Toji come home safe and sound. I love him very much.. Thank you everyone..
