Please help to replace our stolen School Minibus

Hi everyone,
I have set up this up in the hope to fundraise some money to help towards the replacement costs of the school minibus which was recently stolen from Morgan’s Vale Primary School in Redlynch, Wiltshire.
The Ford Transit Minibus was taken from school grounds on the night of 31st January or the early hours of the morning February 1st and left burnt out at Shephards Gutter car park near Bramshaw in the New Forest, Hampshire.
It is believed that the vehicle was set on fire in a forest car park to destroy any forensic evidence after thieves removed the engine using small tree stumps to raise the minibus. The original minibus was funded by a combination of capital money the school receives from the government and fundraising proceeds from community events such as ‘Spirit of Christmas’ in previous years.
The headteacher of the school anticipates that there will be a financial gap of a few thousand pounds from what will be received from the insurance company compared to the expense of replacing the minibus with a similar vehicle. The cost of second-hand vehicles has increased since the minibus was purchased only last year in 2021. The school hadn’t even had the minibus for a full year.
Any funding for this year had been planned to spend developing the pond area and creating an outside classroom area for the school. These funds may now need to be diverted from this to cover the cost of replacing the minibus.
The primary school has regularly planned trips coming up for the children in the school which requires the use of the school minibus for travel. These trips help to make classroom learning relevant through a real life context. This brings ‘learning to life’ for many children and provides them with memorable experiences.
The minibus also takes children to sports matches and gets hired out to other local schools and community groups with a charitable status. The Downton Beavers, Scouts and Brownies are regular borrowers!
