Please help to give Mikey the goodbye she deserves

My mother Michelle (Mikey) Dana Inman-Harchol was the most incredible, influential and inspiring person in my world. Her love of horses, her students, her friends and myself and my father was beyond words. She touched so many hearts, shared so much knowledge and was a devout mother, trainer, wife and friend.

Mikey tragically lost her life suddenly on Friday March 28th. I was there at her side as she took her last breath, and for that I will forever be broken but grateful. My sweet mommy is gone. I can’t even begin to think of moving forward. She was my best friend and soulmate.

My father is devastated. After what would have been 35 years of marriage this April, my mother’s love for him never dimmed, never wavered. She supported him in his journey to becoming a solo guitarist and artist and was at every one of his shows he could be at, being his cheerleader.

Mikey took care of HUNDREDS (maybe thousands) of horses and animals throughout her time with us on Earth. Sleepless nights with a sick horse, early mornings prepping for shows, and endless days devoting her time, energy and passion to these beautiful animals.

She taught countless people to ride, igniting the same passion and appreciation for these big sweet creatures as she had. Encouraging everyone she encountered, setting goals and achieving them, she pushed with love many people to reach great milestones both inside and outside of the arena.

My mother was the backbone of our family, our leader. We are lost, we are broken. We want to give Mikey a beautiful burial and celebration of life in the coming weeks. I am asking for help from her beloved friends to make this possible for my dad and I to give her. Many of you know she poured almost all she made back into her business. Please only help if you are able to, but we would greatly appreciate anything you’re able to contribute as my dad and I are completely lost.

Thank you all so much, she had the biggest heart and made room inside for each and every one of you.
