On October 11, 2025, Alfonso Bautista unexpectedly lost the love of his life, Denae Nemanic. Denae was an amazing woman with a kind heart. She was a Sergeant in the Army from 2003 to 2012 and bravely served our country during her three tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. The two met after her time in the service and spent 10½ years together as husband and wife. Denae recently began working for the Bureau of Reclamation and absolutely loved her job. As her new and old friends can attest, she could light up a room. Alfonso and Denae built a life around their mutual love of music, the outdoors, and their animals. While life is never easy, they made it simple and had a bond that even in death cannot be broken.

Since her passing, Alfonso has found that while he has a great support team (family, friends, and his Waste Management family), he is definitely in need of assistance. Going from a two-person income to instantly becoming the sole breadwinner has put a strain on him and that's where this comes in. If you are able to give, please do so. No amount is too small and it will go a long way towards giving him time to properly grieve the loss of his wife, before having to face the reality of figuring out his living expenses. Thank you!
