Please help Tinkerbell with life saving surgery

THANK YOU SO MUCH TO EEVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED SO FAR, WE ARE SPEECHLESS AT THE SUPPORT TINKERBELL HAS RECEIVED. WE'VE BOOKED HER EYE TO BE REMOVED ON FRIDAY.
PLEASE KEEP SHARING SO WE CAN REACH THE OPERATION TOTAL BY THE END OF THE WEEK TO PAY THE VETS.

Guys, I don't even know where to start! We are a not for profit organisation, struggling with little to no funds, almost 100 animals in our care and vet bills coming out of our ears when all we want is the best for the animals at the sanctuary which we have either saved from death/ committed to offer them the best forever home possible for the rest of their lives.

TINKERBELL, one of the 7 rescue cats living here, needs to have her eye removed after an accident last night.

We are in a dire situation, we have bills upon bills, which are all for the animals needs food/ vets/ wellbeing... all 8 equines are due their feet trimming, all 8 equines are due their annual dentist visit, outstanding vet bills for vaccinations and previous treatment, we only have 3 bales of hay left (and we're going through one every 3 days!!) and then this has now happened to our baby Tinkerbell I can't believe it!!

Tinkerbell is a 2 year old rescue cat, we saved her from a cat hoarding situation 18 months ago she and 37 cats were locked in a conservatory.

Last night Dave and Oscar were doing the evening rounds feeding everyone and Oscar noticed something wrong with Tinkerbell, she was sitting on a bale of hay quietly and he noticed she didn't look right (he's only 10)... he had a HUGE SHOCK!!

Dave urgently called me 'urgent Tinkerbell hurt', picked her up and ran her inside... I took a photo ready for the vets call and got on the phone to them straight away! We gave her pain relief and an anti-inflammatory to see her through the night as the Vet said they wouldn't operate during the night and that as long as she was comfortable then she would be ok to wait for surgery in the morning. She was quiet, but happy (so surprisingly!!) still purring away but oh my goodness WHAT ON EARTH HAS HAPPENED!!

She has experienced some kind of blunt trauma to her left eye last night whilst out and about, and sadly it has ruptured, which means she has lost the use of eye and needs an Enucleation which in human words is 'Eye Removal'. If we leave her eye in it could cause an even greater injury if she catches it, it is literally popping out/ protruding severely/ it must be causing a huge amount of pain and discomfort and on top of that it could get infected so leaving it there is not an option.

One option, which someone suggested, which as far as we're concerned IS NOT AN OPTION is to put her to sleep because this would be the cheapest option however we do everything we possibly can to save poor, helpless animals, we saved Tinkerbell from a terrible cat hoarding situation 18 months ago and we will do everything in our power to save her, but we desperately NEED YOUR HELP PLEASE.

We went to the Vets this morning and they confirmed her eye is not able to be saved and is ruptured and the top of her head is 'soft'; and she could have a fractured skull, which means they need to do an x-ray to check for this first, if she has a fracture then we would have to wait up to 6 weeks to allow the bone to heal before surgery, however this could lead to an infection if we wait and we need to minimise risks as much as possible and my biggest concern is her catching her eye ball on something as it's bulging out!!

Her eye must come out, she can't live with it like this.

The current situation is that she is resting on my bed, still purring, being kept inside and booked in for 'eye removal' on Friday 20th March but I have no idea how we are going to pay, but what else can we do?! We love her, everyone loves her and she deserves a chance of a full recovery. She's only 2 years old.

Please, please, please can you help? A donation of any size would mean the world to us, to help her, but even a *share* of our fund raiser would help so much too, please help in any way that you can.

I'm sorry for sharing her sad photos, but we need your help. The other photo was taken on Mothers Day, just one day before and that is the last ever photo of her beautiful face with both eyes.

Thank you for taking the time to read Tinkerbell's story, please send her well wishes.
