My brother, Tim Gilmartin, woke up at 4 am to go to work. He felt a sharp pain in his abdomen, but
proceeded to go in. Missing work
isnt an option, he lives check to
check trying to provide for his
daughter. While at work the pain
grew, becoming unbearable
to the point he had to go to the
emergency room.
After arriving, they performed a
variety of tests determining that
Tim had Pancreatitis Necrosis,
which is a serious infection that
causes tissue within the pancreas
to die. He was immediately admitted to the hospital, where they
kept him for 2 and 1/2 weeks,
During his stay they continued to
perform various tests and scans
to watch his pancreas to make
sure the infection did not worsen. They feed him intravenously and provided antibiotics.
17 days latter he was released,
but informed that he had a long
road to recovery ahead of him.
Involving more Dr’s, specialists,
tests, scans and a lot of meds,
plus a complete lifestyle change.
Now because of his hospital stay,
follow up visits, out of pocket co-pays, deductibles, meds, plus the
stuff that is not covered by his
insurance. .. all of this has and will continue to add up, creating an
enormous amount of medical
expenses. Plus during all this
the Dr. has kept Tim out of work, going on 5 weeks now. So the
checks have stopped coming
in, while the bills continue too.
All of this debt has created a lot
of financial and emotional stress
for Tim. As he is worried about
how is he going to pay for all this,
make ends meet and still provide
for his daughter. When the only
thing he should be worried about is getting better.
Asking for help is not easy, but
Tim could really use some right
now. Tim is a warm, kind-hearted gentle soul. His only goal in life is to be the best dad possible. He is an amazing person who is always there to give a helping hand, now he needs one.
I am creating this go fund me in
order to support and assist Tim
with all his medical expenses, and help him get caught up with his
other bills, while he is recovering.
If you can help in any way it will
be most appreciated!!!
Thank-you so very much.
