Help Tim Bassetti Recover After a Life-Changing Brain Injury

Our family is reaching out during one of the most difficult moments of our lives to ask for help for our beloved father, Tim Bassetti.

Tim suffered a severe stroke and brain bleed, requiring an extended hospitalization of over three weeks in the Neuro ICU, followed by two months in a post-acute rehabilitation facility. We are incredibly grateful that he survived and is now home, but the road ahead remains long and challenging.

Before this sudden medical crisis, Tim was sharp, independent, and deeply engaged in life. He followed the stock market closely, enjoyed playing poker, and loved spending time with friends and family. He was mentally active, social, and full of personality — someone who truly enjoyed living life to the fullest.

Since returning home, Tim now struggles with confusion, impaired balance, and reduced safety awareness, placing him at high risk for falls and injury. Because of these ongoing neurological effects, he requires 24-hour care and supervision to remain safe.

• Home safety and mobility equipment, including fall-prevention items, bathroom safety aids, and walking supports

• Medical-related and rehabilitation expenses that continue after discharge

• Support services that allow Tim to remain safely at home rather than requiring institutional care

The cost of round-the-clock care alone can reach $18,000–$25,000 per month, and these funds will help ease the overwhelming financial burden while ensuring Tim receives the care he needs.
