Please help this sweet family get afloat
I would like to raise money to help this sweet family, as they have experienced tragedy after tragedy over the last couple of years. Felicia is a wonderful registered nurse and she is married to her husband, Ari.
Ari was in a debilitating motorcycle accident in 2018 which left him unable to work. Felicia was working as a nurse but having a harder and harder time with her chronic back issues and needed surgery. She has needed surgery for sometime and kept putting It off in order to keep working and providing for her family, until she could not feel her leg anymore and had no choice but to have the surgery.
Shortly after her surgery, Ari went into the hospital, which he has been in and out of with DKA as a type one diabetic, and he also had COVID. And as if that weren’t enough, a lesion he had on the roof of his mouth was biopsied and found to be malignant. It has spread to his sinuses, gums, and jaw as well. His cancer is TERMINAL, he will require some surgeries and be put on a ventilator temporarily to extend his life, but there is no cure and it is not operable other than debulking. Felicia has some weeks of recovery left before she can go back to work, but taking care of Ari is a full-time job, so she will likely not be able to work until after he is gone. Both of their vehicles have been repossessed, and their house is in foreclosure. They desperately need a vehicle because she will have to drive him to and from the hospital. So if anyone has a vehicle that runs, no matter what condition, a donation would be so appreciated.
My heart breaks for this family. I could write a book on everything this poor woman has been through in her life. Only scratching the surface—giving birth to a stillborn baby, nearly losing the next one, with a divorce shortly following that Just when life seemed to be getting better, the black cloud returned.
She is one of the most caring selfless and giving persons I know. For 15 years she and her dad volunteered for Blessings at the Beach Thanksgiving feast for the homeless and was the coordinator for 6 additional years. She worked tirelessly throughout the year, sacrificing time with her family and resources to help provide thanksgiving meals, clothing, blankets to those less fortunate. She and her children would make toiletry bags throughout the years to distribute on this day as well. Dinner was served restaurant style, so that the homeless could feel special on this day. Felecia has won many awards for her nursing, runner up as Memorial Hospital nurse of the year, 2017 100 great nurses of Northeast Florida, just to name two. Those who know her understand why. Her husband, Ari, sums up her spirit in his description of her: It was in 2012 that I was completely run over by the most incredible woman in the most unlikely of places. To look at her was to see the sunrise, brightening everything & everyone as far as her warm rays of positivity would reach. Never before or since have I experienced such empathy, compassion & God gifted need to care for others. This is all before I truly knew this woman and had experienced the entirety of her amazing gifts. I often tell old friends, new acquaintances or anyone that was about to meet Felicia " she isn't like me or you, not taking anything away from your positive attributes but, Flea is a angel with gifts from God that are almost hard to believe." Often miracles are not easily understood and wrapping my brain around the graceful way she always strives to be. How can someone be so completely selfless, putting others first always and when caring for others as a nurse or helping in the community no matter your status, life circumstances or what lied in your past....non judgemental & unconditional care is what Felicia handed freely and by the truck load.
Now, she needs our help. I hope you can find it in your heart to give back to this selfless lady and her family. They have lost so much and are at risk of losing everything. No donation is too small, and all are so appreciated. Thank you!
