Please Help this Precious Family in Need
My name is Brandy Crump and my family has known Mr. Reggie Watson and Mrs. Marsha Watson for five years. If you have known the Watson's, you have seen God's love. Mr. Reggie is always sharing God's word and his testimony with others, to encourage and lift up his friends and family. We all know Mrs. Marsha and Lyric don't say much, but are very sweet and loving. We attend church together at The Rock of NEA in Jonesboro.
Mr. Reggie's life has dramatically changed, which has caused the Watson family to fall on hard times. Reggie has always wanted to start his own business and was able to do that in 2022. He had started his own hotshot business hauling equipment. However, Reggie traveled out of state to make a delivery. On his way home his truck began to do the death wobble, so he pulled over to evaluate his truck. While parked in the back of a gas station parking lot, he was underneath the front of the truck working when an eighteen wheeler (occupied by a new driver) tried to park and hit the back of the trailer causing Reggie's truck to run over him, smashing him all together underneath his truck. He was in Arizona when this happened. Immediately, he lost sensation from the waist down and was unable to move his legs. His wife received a call and all she could hear screaming in the background was her husband saying I can't feel my legs, I can't feel my legs. Can you imagine receiving a call about a love one and not knowing the extent of the accident, being able to be there for them, or knowing if they were going to make it. The ambulance recommended helicopter transport, but was unable due to the windy conditions. He was rushed to the local hospital in Arizona. When the accident happened, Reggie began to pray, "God please don't take my legs." When he arrived at the hospital, he was told by the doctor that he was lucky to be alive. I would say Blessed. About six hours later he began to have a small amount of sensation in his toes, by the Grace of God. He suffered a fractured left ankle, multiple injuries to both knees, and back. He has undergone surgeries on both knees, is currently being treated for issues on his lower back, and pending future procedures. He has been traumatized and has trouble sleeping at night from the pain in his body, which may be a issues he is going to deal with the rest of his life.
Mr. Reggie is unable to work and provide for his family. Ms. Marsha suffers from a chronic health condition and is also unable to work. Their son Lyric is a ninth grader, who excels academically and athletically. They have been struggling financially to pay bills, repair his truck, and not to lose his business.
This family needs our help. God has called us as Christian brothers and sisters to help those in need. So, I am asking you to join me in helping this precious family in their desperate time of needs.
