Hello, my name is Barbara, I'm starting this fundraiser for my daughter. She was shot In  the chest with a 45. Caliber glock. In front of both their children. Melissa and her oldest son are both autistic. Shea is 12 and Cody is 10 years old. My daughter survived after flatlining two times and 5 surgeries. She is now is paralyzed T10 they fused her spine together from T12 to T16. Melissa is special, she survived and beat odds. Melissa has a very long road ahead of her. But she's ready to put in the work needed so she can get back to her boys. This is the start of a whole new life. Melissa was a full-time college student. She was transferring to Chico State next spring with her associates degree in science. She was going major in social work and was going for her bachelor's degree. So, she could become a domestic violence counselor. She still wants to finish schooling but knows it will take a little longer now. Melissa just wants to start over and focus on giving all her love and time to her boys. Melissa survived for her two boys. And will continue to fight for her boys. Medical equipment is needed she has to have a customized wheelchair and there's a lot of other medical equipment needed. There are expensses that she cannot meet on her own. Melissa almost lost her life. Please help her and her boys start over. She lost her home, her world was turned upside down, she was shot by the person that she loved. Since, she was 18 years old. But Melissa is a fighter and won't give up. Please if you can help in any way to get Melissa and her boys a new beginning. Even if it's prayers we are all very grateful. Thank you
