The estimated cost of cremation from Anker-Lucier is $3200. We had raised $1400 prior to Donna's passing, those funds went towards April's travel and lodging expenses during Donna's lengthy hospitalization. I've adjusted the goal to reflect the $3200 additional needed to be raised.

With a heavy heart, I share the news of Donna's passing on April 5th. She's now in a better place, at peace.

April and Richard want me to express their appreciation for those who reached out with kind words of love, support & prayers. Also to those who contributed to the GoFundMe. Your donations enabled April to provide comfort and companionship to Donna in her final months, throughout her hospitalization, making a noticeable difference in her well-being. Thank you, your love and support mean the world.

Donna was a ray of sunshine who touched countless lives with her warmth, generosity and kindness. Always so cheerful, with a beautiful smile, she had an incredible ability to make people feel good about themselves. Her customers always left her shop feeling like a million bucks. She was such an amazing person who will be deeply missed by all those whose lives she touched.

I'm hoping we can come together in honor of Donna and help April and Richard during this difficult time. If we can raise one more round of donations to cover her cremation and final expenses. We'll have a better idea of what things are going to cost in a couple of days, and I'll update the GoFundMe and maybe raise the goal accordingly.

Let's come together to support Donna Figg-Hoblyn, her son Richard and her partner April King in this challenging time. Donna has been ill for some time and has been hospitalized since New Year's Eve. It's taken an emotional and financial toll on their family. To add to their struggles, April has had to drive back and forth nearly every day from Willits to Saint Helena Hospital in order to support, advocate and help lift Donna's spirits during this time. Which has drained all of their savings. So let's show our community spirit and help ease their financial burdens. Donna has owned Mane Effects Beauty Salon in Willits for nearly 40 years; now it's our turn to be there for her and her family.
