Hello, I have a friend and co-worker who has had one heck of a year. She has gotten out of an abusive marriage, and after a year of absolutely zero financial help from the (now officially!) ex-husband, she found a mass in her chest. It was discovered when she went to the doctor thinking she had an ulcer. They found a mass in her chest that, after some time, several visits, and WAY too much waiting on results, was diagnosed as Stage 2 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and will need 6 months of treatment. She only has 12 weeks of FMLA, and that will run out far before she will be able to return to work. She is a mom of 5 kids, and they will need to continue paying all the bills that we all have, in addition to the medical costs that are rising like smoke from a wildfire. Any help that you would be willing to contribute would be greatly appreciated and will go directly to the family to keep them in food and out of foreclosure!
