During my recent visit to Nusa Lembongan, I discovered a remarkable restaurant offering cooking classes. The welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by several friendly and well-cared-for rescue dogs, immediately caught my attention. Upon inquiring about the class, I learned from a staff member that a portion of the proceeds supports local dog rescue efforts, which strongly appealed to me as an animal lover.
I was introduced to Puspa, the owner, whose passion for animal welfare was immediately evident. We connected instantly and enjoyed a memorable evening cooking and conversing. A few days later, Puspa kindly invited me for coffee and welcomed me into her home, where I met more than 20 rescue dogs, all in excellent health and clearly very much loved.
Throughout the day, I gained further insight into Puspa’s dedication. Puspa is an amazing woman with a big heart of gold and funny sense of humour. It was such a pleasure getting to know her. Not only does she rescue and care for dogs from the island and Bali, but she also regularly feeds those neglected or abandoned by others. Witnessing her compassion inspired me to support her journey, whether through financial contributions, supplies, or other needed items. Pupsa has secured new land for her and the dogs but needs materials to build a secure home for her and the dogs.
While animal welfare resources in Australia are comparatively accessible, such support is limited in Bali, where stray and unwanted dogs often endure inhumane conditions. Any assistance, however small, makes a meaningful difference to these animals’ lives.
Sincerely

Hello, my name is Puspa and I live on this beautiful island Named Nusa Lembongan Bali in Indonesia, home to many beloved dogs. I have 20 dogs that i have been rescued since 2020 and they all stay with me, 9 of them sleep with me on my bed i also have 20 strays to feed everyday from my own pocket. These numbers are slowly increasing due to more and more dogs cruelty happened on this beautiful island of Bali. We are desperately need a safe space for them, a dog sanctuary ❤️
We are reaching out to ask your support during this challenging time. Unfortunately we’ve had to leave our current home due to numerous issues that have made it unsafe for us to stay.
The house has been severely damaged from the storm collapsed our fence and blocked our drainage system, roof that is on the verge of leaking and with holes. Recently strong winds and heavy rain caused parts of the walls and fence to completely fall. On top of this, i’ve been dealing of harassment from our neighbors, countless threats, they are throwing rocks to our house broke our window as well, making it even harder to live in peace.
We’ve found new place where we can finally have some peace away from our neighbors and other stress. Somewhere far from human population, where dogs can roam free and happily enjoy their life after the nightmare that they had been through from the animal’s abusers.
This new location will not only provide a safe space for us, but also to help even more animals in need.
As a dog owner and dog lover, i’ve seen firsthand the number of of dogs that need homes, care and protection.
We’ve found a piece of land that suitable for this cause, and with your help, we can transform it into a place that is safe for the dogs, cats or other animals, where they can be nurture with love, and we also help to rehome those animals, so they can have better life ❤️
What your donation will support:
1. Shelter and care for homeless dogs, cats. Offering them protection, food and love.
2. dog kennels , a trusted place for locals or visitors alike to leave their dogs or cats while they’re away.
3. Vet bills for our rescue dogs, medications such as worms and ticks tablets, vaccinations and to neuter dogs or cats, controlling the population.
Your contribution, no matter how big or small, will make a huge difference in the lives of these animals.
Lets become a human and showing our compassion and love to these voiceless creatures.
Please donate today and help us to build the dogs/ animals sanctuary that Nusa Lembongan needs!
