Please Help the Victim of a Hit & Run

Hi,

My name is Jessica, and my son Evan was the victim of a pedestrian verses an  automobile crossing a street on August 21, 2022.

He suffered a badly broken leg (surgery with titanium plates), the left leg and knee were badly damaged and are still in need of surgery. His right arm was badly broken (snapped backward and also had surgery with titanium plates), with the nerve badly damaged and unknown if he will regain use of his hand. Right now, it's at about 5-10%, with a prognosis of 70%. Also fractures on the top of his feet.

Contrary to popular belief, it is doubtful that there will be any recourse or money for him to survive. The witnesses disappeared, and the police never did a police report since the incident happened on the border of LAPD and the city of Gardena to begin with. After getting the runaround for weeks, LAPD finally did a report. The odds of them coming up with anything are very, very slim.

Evan had just embarked on jobs as an independent contractor doing house painting.

Evan cannot walk.

He still needs surgery in one knee.

His right arm has nerve damage and has an unknown prognosis.

In other words, he does not have use of both legs and one arm/hand.

To top it off, the hospital discharged him back to his apartment with no treatment plan, no PT plan, no help, etc.

He is completely out of money and that's why I have set up this GoFundMe.

We are trying to file the Disability Application; from what we understand, it might take many months before he gets help. We are trying to keep him afloat and not lose where he lives or have everything shut off and eat.
