My name is Cathy Boone and I’ve started this fundraiser to help the Vaselovic family; a family that is near and dear to my heart. Jim was admitted to Carteret General Hospital early August with COVID-19. After a week and a half, Jim was medevacked to UNC Chapel Hill. Jim is on a ventilator, has blood clots in both lungs, is on kidney dialysis, and is heavily sedated.

This past month has been a rollercoaster of events and emotions for the family, friends, and co-workers. Jim and his wife, Hope, also care for their granddaughter Madeline. Madeline is just 4 years old and the light of Jim’s life (Jim-Jim as she calls him). Jim has selflessly served his community as a Police Officer for 17 years and is currently a Morehead City Police Officer.

Jim and Hope are a loving couple that have worked hard to build a life for their children. We are praying Jim makes a full recovery and comes home soon. The Vaselovic family are all encouraged by the support they are receiving but still need help with medical and living expenses, along with the back and forth to Chapel Hill (6-hour round-trip drive). Any donations are sincerely appreciated. 100% of the donations will be going directly to the Vaselovic family.
