It is with great sadness that I share the recent diagnosis that my sweet nephew Augustus (Augie) Thornber received on his first birthday. Doctors have identified his disorder as Niemann Pick Disease Type A, and have said that he will likely not live to see his second birthday. Our families are absolutely heartbroken. Our goal here is to receive donations that make it possible for Augie’s parents, Jess and Andrew, to take time off work during these next few months, spending as much quality time with Augie as possible. Jess and Andrew are wonderful parents who are committed to giving Augie as many positive and loving experiences as they can in the time he has left.
