Please Help the Thomas-Cavanagh Family
Donation protected
On April 23rd 2020 Nick Cavanagh Jr., 15, unexpectedly lost his only living parent, his beloved father, Nick Sr.. Since his mother passed away when he was only four, Nick instantly became an orphan.
Heartbroken and due to additional tragic circumstances, on the brink of becoming homeless, Nick's incredible sister Jocelyn Thomas, 26, stepped in to secure them a home. She will bring Nick to live with her in New Jersey.
Nick has no means to support himself, and this move from PA to NJ will mean that just a few short weeks after his father's death, he has to leave his friends, his girlfriend, his school, most of his belongings and everything he knows.
Despite her own grief, Jocelyn is fighting hard to do everything possible to care for her little brother but had no time to save or plan for any of this.
As a close friend of the family, I care deeply about Nick and have seen firsthand what a truly remarkable woman Jocelyn is.
The bond these siblings share is extremely powerful. They are kind, and loving, and in desperate need of support.
Funds raised will help Jocelyn hire an attorney to obtain legal guardianship of Nick, so she can get his medical needs met and enroll him in school.
It will also cover court fees, medical insurance, clothing, food, higher education, and all the costs of raising a teenage boy, so that Jocelyn can provide a loving and stable home for Nick.
This is truly an urgent situation, as their father had written a will just one week prior to his passing, but it was never processed with the courts, leaving Nick and Jocelyn with no financial resources.
Please help if you can and share this widely.
As we all know, it takes a village to raise a child, and this is a family who deserves all of our love and support during such a time of unimaginable hardship.
Please join me in being a part of Nick and Jocelyn's Village
From the bottom of my heart and with deep gratitude, I thank you for donating and supporting this beautiful family!
