2/19/25 Update:
Vladimir is slowly on the mend! He is in great spirits and is trying to be more active. While Mama is trying to tell him take it easy lol He will get his stitches out on 2/24/25. He is so much more comfortable and happy without his lypoma hindering him! I’m so very happy to be doing this for him! Thank you all for your support during this journey! *Photo update at bottom of page as again it would not attach with this updated part of the post.

2/11/25 Update:
Vladimir’s second surgery went very well. This recovery is going to be a little harder than the first. He got 5 lipomas removed that weighed a total of 1.5 lbs! He got some extra skin removed that had stretched with the growth. He has 2 incision sites that have stitches and had a drain placed as well. He also had the remaining 12th tooth removed that was left over from the first surgery and an absorbed root removed. He is being so strong for his Mama but I can tell this lil guy is hurting. I’m doing my best to keep him comfortable during this healing period. Please continue to donate and send your continuing love, good vibes, and prayers! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts, Vladimir and Jessica

2/1/25 Update:
Vladimir did so well healing from his first surgery! He is already feeling tons better and is acting like an 8 year old pup again! He is now scheduled for his second surgery, the mass removal on 2/10/25. I believe with all my heart that this will improve his quality of life tremendously! As the cost continues to climb Vladimir and I could still benefit from a donation from a few generous souls out there! Please help this sweet boy live the type of life he deserves! Any donation helps! Share this post with family, friends, anyone ready to make a difference in the bestest boys life! More updates to come! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts! Vladimir and Jessica

12/30/24: Waking up from anesthesia next to Mom.
Doing very well for his procedure.
12/30/2024 Update:
Vladimir had the 1st of 2 surgeries today. He had 11 teeth removed and 2 fishers repaired The doctor also found a cavity in one of his teeth, an abscess, and removed an exposed root. He is home now and doing very well. He is eating some and taking his meds like a good boy. Mama will continue to watch over him while he is healing. Thank you for your support during this time.

Hello, my name is Jessica. Vladimir is my 13 year-old standard dachshund. Vladimir and I have been together for a little over 11 years. We found each other when he started coming to a dog daycare facility I was employed with. The previous owners ran into some difficult times and could no longer take care of Vladimir. His sweet and goofy nature had already won my heart, so I offered to be his forever home. It was a bonus that he and my other dog were fast best friends! For the past 11 years, Vladimir has been a stellar companion and a light in my life! He has recently run into some health issues that need immediate attention. As he has a grade 3 heart murmur it will require two different surgeries to get him some relief, as his time under anesthesia must be limited. The first surgery will be a dental with one or possibly two Fisher repairs in his gums and some extractions. These fishers have made him miserable, causing his sinuses to swell, a lot of sneezing, drainage from his nose, and red watery eyes constantly. The second surgery will be the removal of his lipoma on his chest and another under his right arm. The Lipoma has grown so fast and so big over the past three years that it now drags on the ground when he walks. This is very dangerous as it could cause a rupture and possible infection. It also can be very uncomfortable for him at times as the skin has stretched a lot, is tight, rough and he struggles to find a good position to relax. He is a trooper and still does his best to go on beautiful afternoon walks with his mom, he enjoys playing ball, and seeking out squirrels on his adventures as well. He is such a gentle soul that he makes friends where ever he goes, both children/adults and dogs! This little man has such a zest for life and always wants to be with for a long snuggle. Please, if you can find it in your heart to donate to his surgeries for a better quality of life we would both be extremely grateful. Thank you for taking the time to hear our story!
