Help needed for the Scroggins family
Donation protected
My best friend Theresa Scroggins lost her husband of 36 years on February 23rd to a very short battle with a very rare aggressive stage 4 lung cancer that he was diagnosed with on January 26th of this year. Brian and Theresa unselfishly took guardianship of their two granddaughters: Jennifer and Karolyn almost six years ago and after having them for two years they realized they would remain with them for good. Brian and Theresa put their empty nester lives on hold to focus on raising the girls on their own. Because Jen and Kora never had a home to call their own and Brian and Theresa wanting to establish that stability for them, they purchased a home three years ago for the girls to finally call their own. Life was going great for the Scroggins up until January 26th. Theresa was focusing on certification in hopes to find a better job ,Brian got sick and they received Brians diagnosis. Theresa put everything on hold to be with Brian in the hospital where he stayed for 5 weeks until he passed away. Right after Brian passed Jen had to have surgery for her Scoliosis that requires about a month-long recovery. In the meantime, Theresa is diligently looking for full time employment so she can keep the house that has provided so much stability for her and the girls. Since Brians passing, friends and family have continued to offer support and have asked how they can help, so I am setting up a go fund me account to bless this family with some monetary relief as they try to navigate through this extremely difficult time and find their new normal without Brian. All money given will go towards Jen and Kora and helping make the mortgage payment until Theresa can establish full time employment and more importantly so Jen and Koras lives and stability aren’t disrupted anymore that it already has been.
Please continue prayers for this sweet family for strength and healing and that Theresa is blessed according to Gods will.
