On November 11th, the Quintanilla family faced an unexpected and life-altering tragedy when an electrical fire broke out in their home. The fire destroyed a large portion of their home and the rest was left severely damaged by smoke and soot leaving their belongings unsalvageable or too expensive to restore.
The oldest sibling is Denise Quintanilla, a resident doctor working out of North Memorial and Broadway Clinic. A resident doctor who is tremendously dedicated to serving her community and those in need. She has always been a big advocate for others as demonstrated in her 4 year tenure as Class President at the University of Minnesota Medical school. If anyone needed a hand, an interpreter, or a friend Denise was there. Denise has always been committed to helping others, and now we want to help her and her family. Richard Quintanilla is currently in trade school with big dreams to become a welder. He is hard working, driven, and unfortunately currently transitioning between part time jobs as he focuses on school. Oscar Quintanilla is the eldest who sadly came home from work to the home in flames and endured the smoke and danger in order to save as many of their loved furry friends as possible until help arrived.
Although everyone made it out safely, the family is now dealing with the painful reality of starting over with only the clothes on their back.
In the midst of trying to process the shock and loss, the family is also managing time away from work, emergency housing needs, and the steep costs of replacing essential items needed for daily life, work, and school.
We are asking for your generosity at this time to help uplift the family.
Your contribution will help cover urgent needs such as clothing, personal essentials, pet medical bills, housing and moving expenses, laptops needed for work and school, and small home repairs as they begin the long journey of rebuilding their lives and home. Any contribution, whether large or small, will bring meaningful relief during this overwhelming time. If you’re unable to donate, sharing their story would make a tremendous difference as well.
Thank you for helping the Quintanilla family regain stability and hope after such a devastating loss.
