Please help the Puder family!

Please help or wonderful friends Justin and Gina Puder, along with their new addition Finn. Gina has had a rough pregnancy and is still having a tough time. If being pregnant during a global pandemic weren’t enough, Gina went onto bedrest around week 20 of pregnancy, because of harmful changes in her uterus. With the stress of moving into a new house, Gina’s blood pressure started causing concerns around week 32 of pregnancy. She was admitted to the hospital about a week later with preeclampsia. After a few day of monitoring, Gina’s pain became unbearable and it was discovered that Finn was in distress. Gina’s placenta had ruptured and she was rushed into an emergency C-section. Finn was born September 26, 2020. Although he was not breathing and lifeless at the time of delivery, he was revived and remains stable in the NICU. He will most likely remain there for at least a couple weeks. The outlook for Finn seems positive in terms of permanent damage but being born over a month early, is case for caution. Following the C-section, Gina remained in the ICU. She was still in intense pain; it was determined she had massive internal bleeding and she was rushed into another major surgery to control it.  She was temporaily put on a ventilator as her body started to heal. Since then, her kidney function and blood pressure are struggling to normalize, along with an infection called C-Diff that landed her and Justin in isolation. During this isolation, they are separated from Finn during his first days in this world. As this nightmare continues, I will share any developments.

In addition to the already mounting medical bills, Gina will need professional at home care once she’s healthy enough to leave the hospital. This fundraiser is intended to help out with some of the burden of the cost of this care as well as the surgeries and hospital stays for Gina and Finn.

Justin and Gina are wonderful people. They are quality friends who would do anything for you and are there when you need them. Justin is an absolute warrior for mental health, helping others through therapy and mindfulness exercises. Gina is a pharmacist, helping her community’s quality of life every day. Please help in anyway you can, every bit helps- no matter how small. And remember, it doesn’t cost anything to send good thoughts and share their story.
