Dear friends of Leigh on Sea

Is with great sadness that we have to inform you that due to negligence of a company that was repairing our roof yesterday morning we have lost our house and everything that was on it. The kids, Fran, Emily and Oliver, my husband and myself are fine and we also managed to save the dogs (Maggie, Nandi and Rocky)

The house got burned down in 20 minutes.

We have lived in this house for more than 10 years and we have the most beautiful memories.

At the moment we need to find a place to stay until we have a place to live.

We don’t have a place to stay for our dogs either.

Again, this is a really difficult situation for me and my family so if you can help us in any way we will be forever grateful.

If your kids are friends with my kids please handle the situation carefully as they are still in shock.

Thank you so much to all the lovely people of our street (Woodcutters Avenue in Leigh on Sea) that helped us yesterday.

Amy for the food, clothes and goodies and to my lovely neighbours for the jackets for the kids a charger for the phone and food and bowls for the dogs.

Linda, Robbin and family for looking for the dogs last night.

Jo for looking after the dogs during the day, for a nice cup of tea and letting the kids and me to stay in while it was raining.

Thank you to my mother in law and my sisters in law for coming to the rescue straight away.

I am in a very difficult place too so please understand if I don’t reply to your messages straight away.

***UPDATE*** Thank you so much all! You are really amazing and we are humbled and overwhelmed by your generosity and help overall. Needless to say, we feel incredibly lucky and blessed to be part of this community. Thank you to all my amazing friends and family for helping us out in this difficult moment of our lives.

We have found a place to stay from Saturday for 2 weeks which will give us some kind of stability. If after the 2 weeks we haven’t found a permanent accommodation we will need to start all over again. We are still in need of a 3/4 bedroom house to rent around the Leigh area. ASAP.
