Please help the Kocak Family Recover from a Devastating Fire

Hello, my name is Christine Morrissey, and I'm reaching out to you on behalf of the Kocak family from Ansonia, CT. My daughter Ella and Sophie Kocak are “dance besties,” and our families have grown close through our daughters’ shared passion for dance.

On Sunday April 13th, Maria, Danny, and Sophie Kocak returned home from a dance competition, only to face an unimaginable tragedy a few hours later. A fire broke out suddenly in their 3-family home, which they share with Maria's sister Carmen Barrios, her son Juan Furlan, and her mother Amanda Urizar de Barrios. Thankfully, the family and their pets escaped without injuries, but they lost nearly all of their belongings.

The Kocak family is now facing the daunting task of rebuilding their lives from scratch. They need immediate assistance to cover essential needs such as clothing, food, and temporary housing.
