“In the early morning hours of February 12 our family awoke to a horrendous crashing sound only to discover that our indoor riding arena had collapsed beneath the heavy weight of the recent record snow fall. Thankfully, by the grace of God no one was physically hurt”.
Cypress Farm has been serving families and the horse community in greater Seattle area for the past 15 years. Owners Tony and Kim McCreight run this family owned farm and business along with their daughter and horse trainer Leah Schifferl. Cypress Farm is where beginning riders turn into skilled horseman and competitive Hunter/Jumper riders under the care and instruction of this family farm. Cypress is the home to 15 horses in its stables from the vetted lesson pony to the competitive show horses. The indoor arena is a vital component to the training facility and without it the program will cease to exist. There are many more expenses beyond insurance replacing the building that are critical for the care of these sweet animals and their families who love them. In the coming months ahead, as the rebuilding process begins many of the horses will need to be relocated to another facility nearby so that they can continue to train and receive their required care. Transportation, relocation and daily care costs will not be covered by insurance. Cypress Farm strives to maintain providing lessons for the riders who are reliant on farm owned horses. That will require substantial financing from the owners of Cypress Farm. Horses are naturally intuitive animals. They understand and feel loss. Please help Tony, Kim, Leah and all the horses by considering a generous donation to Cypress Farm so that these special animals and the families who love them can get back to serving the community.
