The Help Now Fund is used to help unhoused people in numerous ways from Hotel stays when they are ill, to cell phones and minutes for medical calls and job searches, to emergency groceries or medicines, and items like tabs or insurance for residential vehicles. The fund is also used sometimes to buy a meal for the shelter - usually from Jason at Shanghai who is wonderfully supportive. And finally this fund gives me the money to buy the supplies the Winter Welcoming Center needs, and is usually reimbursed.
