Please Help the Hanzuk Family

Hi there, my name is Roz Calder. I have started a GoFund Me page for my dear friends Rob and Gaby Hanzuk. This past Spring Rob was diagnosed with Acute Myelogenous Leukemia, the worst a person can get and it is incurable, but it can go into remission. (God willing) Rob has been going back and forth to Thunder Bay for chemotherapy these past few months and the outcome was not good. His only other option was a Stem-Cell Transplant in Ottawa, which he has since received. He has been alone there since the end of August. The recovery period for this procedure is 3 to 4 months and he has to stay right in Ottawa because should complications arise, it will happen in this period of time. Rob and his wife Gaby will have an apartment set up (beginning mid-October) a half hour away from the hospital in case anything should happen.

Now this is where the GoFund Me comes in. The living expenses in Ottawa, the medical expenses, taxi cabs back and forth to hospital, taking care of house expenses back home, many more costs that a family has. After the 3 or 4 months have come and gone, Rob and his wife Gaby will finally be reunited back home with their children Bridget, grandson Josh and son Dwayne. But it won't be over yet because every 2 months they will have to travel once again to Thunder Bay for blood work indefinitely. Rob works as a janitor at a local school here in Fort Frances, with retirement within reach before he was striken with this incurable disease. His wife Gaby just retired about 8 months before all this happened.

This fundraiser is very important to me, I am not sure if you know Gaby but she is the most giving person. She has kept our local Special Olympics program active for the last 25 years, she was Citizen of the Year in 2020. I could go on, but bottom line - the Hanzuk family needs our help. Will you help us?
