After a difficult pregnancy and hospital stay that ended in an emergency c-section due to severe preeclampsia, my friend Lauren and her husband Andrew were blessed with the birth of spontaneous identical triplet girls on 9/4/2020. Lauren is a high school teacher of low income students in NYC, and her husband has been out of work due to COVID-19.
Charlotte, Cora, and Emma were born at 31 weeks and have been in the NICU due to severe reflux which causes them to have apneic episodes (they forget to breathe). Her parents have been by their bedsides day and night.
The girls are finally starting to come home and are being discharged on apnea/heart rate monitors. Having them home is such a blessing, but they have so many unexpected expenses- from medical bills, to diapers, to the special formula they all need to be on, and everything times 3- it's overwhelming and they need any help they can get. Even the smallest donation would be so appreciated.
