As many of you have heard about the devastating fires in Paradise California…..Please keep my mom Janet, Dad Omar and 14yo brother Deion in your thoughts and prayers.
They were forced to evacuate their home in the town of Paradise yesterday morning. My mom left alone with her dog Ozzy while Deion evacuated from school with a friend, his mom, sister and friend. Deion, his friend, his friends mom, and little sister had to flee from their car running for their lives after the car ran out of gas. He is pretty shaken up just as Omar and my mom and everyone in their community.
Later in the day, they were reunited at the bottom of the hill after Omar had a harrowing drive through spot fires, smoke and fire filled countryside trying to escape the fire himself. They are all safe and VERY distressed and unsure of what to do and where to be-just as we all felt last year.
We were here this time last year scrambling for our own community. The morning news reports that the town of Paradise is virtually destroyed by the fire. It’s a pretty for sure that they have lost everything, as most of us know anything and everything helps!!!!
