Hello, my name is Stephen Saunders and I am the owner of The End of History, an antique shop in the West Village.

Today we had a major disaster at the shop when the ceiling collapsed. Nobody was hurt, but the material loss and the cost of reconstruction will be enormous and much more than any insurance will pay.

We also will have] zero sales or be able to access merchandise in what would normally have been our busiest month.

We will have to be closed for at least 2 months.
