Christina Easton is a loving wife to Brandon Easton and a Mother to 4 beautiful children: Grant-8, Hazel-7, Olivia-5, and Slayde-3. She is a young age of 32, too young to be having any health issues. Crissy has always been such a hard worker and would never ask for anything. She would always put everyone else's needs before her own. She has been struggling with some breathing issues since May 2019. She had been going to the Doctor since then trying to figure out why she has been having these issues. She has been through several rounds of antibiotics, CAT scans, MRIS, etc. Last week she went in for a Open Lung Biopsy to determine what was in her lungs and causing her to be sick and have such a hard time breathing.
She was in a lot of pain from this biopsy and the Doctors determined that she did have an autoimmune disorder called Dermatomyositis. In rare cases with this Disorder it can affect the lungs. She has one collapsed lung and the other is not doing well either.
She was transported to OSU James Cancer Hospital on Saturday. She was still in extreme pain and struggled to breathe. Her Oxygen levels kept dropping and she was put on a CPAP at 100% oxygen to maintain her oxygen level.
Fast forward to yesterday, Wednesday the 18, 1 week after she had her lung biopsy. Her lung biopsy was supposed to be a routine biopsy and she was supposed to be out of the hospital within 3 days. Even with the CPAP machine on, she was obviously under a lot of stress and oxygen levels continued to drop. In order to maintain her oxygen, the Doctors felt it was best to sedate her and put in a breathing tube. She is now heavily sedated and on 100% oxygen. Her oxygen level has raised and seems to be steady.
On top of the autoimmune disorder, she has a very rare lung disease. Both lungs are unhealthy and at this point she is not a candidate for a lung transplant because she would not survive the surgery. The only treatment for this rare disease is a Chemotherapy drug. She is now being treated with this drug and we are praying that it helps her recover.
The kids are being taken care of by family and we are taking shifts in the hospital.
I am asking for donations because their income was already cut in half and if Brandon isn't working, he doesn't get paid. He needs to focus on getting his wife better and not stress about bills. Any donations will be greatly appreciated and go toward expenses from illness and loss of income. October 1, 2019 Christina lost her battle with her illness. We are all so heartbroken by this. Please continue to pray and for our family. If you would like any further information please contact me. Thank you all for your time. Tasha Noice (Christina's Cousin) [phone redacted]
