Please Help the David Bunch Family

David was found at home unresponsive on Friday at 1:20pm. I left for work at 7:30am. I fed the kids and yelled to David upstairs that I was leaving. He responded that he would be downstairs soon. After I left David made it downstairs and my son Caleb said that Daddy fell and hit his head on the kitchen chair. He had been sick for a couple days. It was his birthday. We are thankful this happened on his birthday. God has a plan. On any other day he may have received a couple calls. But on his birthday, myself and his family had been calling all day. After not hearing back from him, his grandparents said they were passing by our house and they would check to see if everything is okay. After finding David on the kitchen floor and unresponsive they called me. I called 911 right away and drove home. I made it home, the kids were okay. The paramedics made it a couple minutes later. When we got to the emergency room David had a lot of movements going on but non of them were voluntary. They had to sedate and intubate him so that he could have a CT scan. The CT scan showed no internal bleeding. They did a spinal tap next and determined he may have meningitis. After tests came back today we were told he had bacterial meningitis and the specific strain was streptococcus pneumoniae. That meant he was not contagious. The doctors said we no longer had to be in a plastic gown with gloves and a mask when in the room. Since Friday we have had some concerns regarding Davids brain function. His body has been making improvements on fighting this bacteria. We will get more results back soon from the neurologist hopefully today. David had an EEG and MRI yesterday for his head. We will be finding out the results from that today. We are currently praying that David doesn't have any permanent damage from this. The waiting is the hardest part.
We have been overjoyed at the overwhelming love we have received from our friends and family.
