Nexsale Candido Campos, 52, was experiencing shortness of breath and fatigue when his oxygen dropped dramatically within a handful of days. Candido was admitted into the Medical ICU the morning of April 29, 2021 and had to be on a ventilator. A week after being admitted, his condition worsened and was transferred to the CT ICU where he needed the support of an ecmo machine to pump and oxygenate his blood for his lungs to rest. Candido was being attacked by Covid and a lung nodule. Thankfully, he was taken off the ecmo machine June 12th, two days after his 52ndbirthday, and has been in stable conditions since. He is still very sick and on the ventilator, but he is making progress towards the right direction.
Candido is a loving, funny and stand-up man that has worked as a cook at Wood n’ Tap for about 6-7 years. Thanks to his loving and friendly demeanor he and his family have received an outpouring of love, prayers, and support during this difficult time.
Unfortunately, he has never had insurance and medical costs are growing, and bills are stacking up. If you, or anyone you know, would be able to donate towards his financial burden, any kind of donation would be greatly appreciated. Candido and his family appreciate the continuous love and prayers and we are keeping faith that he will continue to put up a fight for his life.
